I meant to post yesterday. Honest. Really. I did. Promise! But, I didn’t. Mucho apologies. ><
OMG YAAAY! Glee has restarted, and it is FABULOUS! They introduced two new characters in the first episode, and I can’t wait to see when the third person will be brought into the fray. Not to mention, next week is the BRITNEY SPEARS episode. Eeeeeeee!!! I’m ridiculous amounts of excited here. Britney Spears is one of those guilty pleasures of the 1990s that you can’t seem to escape. Her songs are just so freaking catchy; it’s hard not to find yourself replaying them over and over again, especially for parties. They have a pretty good dance beat, and everyone will sing along to them in the worst pitch possible. :D
Speaking of Glee, I want these cookies. Bad.

Om nom nom, delicious!
My hair was being a pain the other day, so I gave up and put it up in a bun, something I can FINALLY do because it’s long enough. WOOT! It’s this really dinky little thing in the back, but IT’S UP! The sunglasses, I should note, I’ve had for five years. I have taken those EVERYWHERE. They’ve been bent out of shape, temporarily lost, sat on, passed around, dropped in water, and one of the lenses has popped out. And, still, they survive. Best part? I got them for six bucks.
Leggings - Target, Top - Hanes, Skirt - H&M, Shoes - Target, Sunglasses and headband - Forever 21, Necklace - Target.
(I realize that I seem to own a rather large amount of accessories from Target. ><)

Hey! So, I’m posting pictures from a couple days ago, when I was still a tad sick, so I was angling for something super comfy yet cute for school. Today, I just reverted to jeans-and-a-sweatshirt attitude towards clothing >< (my room was really cold this morning!). I got the leggings at Nordstrom and the Sweater at H&M. I’m really liking this legging trend because it lets me make the sweater appropriate without something as heavy as jeans or slacks underneath.
Yep! Well, it’s a Tuesday so there isn’t too much to say about that ><
I’ll update later when I can actually manage to think of something halfway interesting :D

Today was absolutely fabulous! I met up with a good friend of mine, and basically we bummed around and watched hilarious videos on the internet and talked the other’s head off. Not to mention, I now have a new show to waste my time on, Black Books. If you have 30 ish minutes of your life where you are truly at a loss with what to do, I recommend checking out this show. :D
I’m in love with the feminine blazer/tuxedo jacket style. It can create such an elegant silhouette, and it’s such a no fuss outfit that will put all eyes on you. Essentially, it’s because it’s different. Even in the twenty-first century, women dressing masculine still has a bit of shock value. I enjoy the simplicity of mens wear inspired pieces. As Coco Chanel told Harper’s Bazaar, “Simplicity is the keynote of all true elegance.” I love the blazer pictured above because it actually belonged to my mother. She wore it back in the 80’s. It had these huge shoulder pads that I removed, so I didn’t look like a massive box. ><
Heh, as for the shoes, that’s just me being a girl. XD Fantastically bright and obnoxious shoes are my FAVORITEST THING EVER to go shopping for like Allison. Very rarely does a girl find a pair of shoes that doesn’t flatter her foot, that doesn’t look right cause she’s having an off day, that won’t give her a bit of an adrenaline rush. They’re just ADDICTING, as Mrs. Marcos can tell you. ;)

If I ever owned 2700 shoes, I’m 99.9% sure I would die happy. End of story. :D
So, jeans - Levi, shoes - Target, Scarf - random shop in London (Camden Market maybe?), t-shirt - one of my brothers, blazer - my mum, earrings - Target.

AAAAAIIIIIIIIHHHH!!! HERE IS MY BELATED POST!!! Sorry I didn’t post yesterday (it’s a long story that involves me accidentally clicking the X when I thought I hit the minimize button and then getting distracted… yeah). Nonetheless, here I am!! And I still have the photos from yesterday, so I will just pretend that it’s still yesterday ><
So then! Today (yesterday) I’m going for a little bit to a friend’s birthday party (speaking of which, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JUSTIN!!), so I wanted to wear something nice but comfy and casual. I ended up wearing navy blue slacks from dELIA*s (again, ordering online there is fantastic for disproportionate people like me >< ). Plus, they’re cut like skinny jeans, which, as you know, I love the lines of. They’re a bit nicer than jeans but just as comfortable, so I’m definitely a fan :D I’m also wearing a fantastic flowery blouse that I got in Bordeaux, so I’m not sure exactly what the name of the store was. However, I really love the lines of that shirt. The semi-circle top is really, really graceful, I think. It’s pretty, classic, and very soft and feminine. It’s very modest without being frumpy at all. Plus, the million different colors in the flowers means that it’s good to wear with almost any bottom. Of course, the bottom should be more fitted since the blouse is so flowy. For me, it’s always a debate whether or not to wear a necklace with that top. I don’t want to ruin the line of the top, but I feel like it showcases any piece of jewelry I wear. So I would say that for a more casual look, go for a necklace. But for a fancier appearance, wear chandelier earrings and no necklace. But obviously, that’s just my perspective and you should always do what you think looks best ><
So, happy Sunday (or rather, Saturday)!! Enjoy your weekend!

I’m going to further Allison’s comments on skinny jeans and how FREAKING AMAZING they are. I, too, live in skinny jeans. Some people wear sweatpants, yoga pants, work out clothes, etc. to relax and bum around the house, and for some reason, I just can’t. No idea why; I’m just wonderfully weird like that. :P I’m not a fan of sweatpants or yoga pants for anything but yoga class. My bumming outfit is ma skinny jeans and a t-shirt (or my PJ pants if I’m being reeeeally lazy ><). Also, I’d like to push the idea of jeggings. I was wearing them before they really started getting picked up by the stores, and seriously, go out and buy a pair. They are ridiculously comfortable and SEXY. They cling to your legs without looking skanky. And, they look great under short dresses (which is God sent for us tall people. The “jeans” I’m wearing in the pictures above are actually a pair of jeggings :D ).
I adore covers of songs. Don’t get me wrong, originals are cool, but I love it when another artist completely redoes the song in a way that you just can’t help bopping your head along to. I’ve currently been stalking around Youtube for covers of Beyonce songs (Don’t ask…). ”Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It”) seems to be the most frequently covered, which makes sense.

(Sara Bareilles is so cute. ;) )

(LOVE HER!)

(Not Single Ladies, but Kate Nash is so fantastic, I couldn’t resist! And, it IS a Beyonce song.)
Outfit!
Scarf - present, Jeggings - Target, Dress - H&M, Sunglasses, For Love 21, Cardigan - JcPenny? Maybe? I got it ages ago, so…, Boots - FREE from a friend :D

Hi there! It’s Thursday. I’m not feeling so hot today :S but luckily, after a few hours of sleep, I managed to get dressed and take photos for about 2 minutes to post :D So today I’m wearing a sweater from H&M, jeans from dELIA*s, and Coach shoes from Nordstrom. I get a fair amount of flack from my friends about these shoes, but I love them. They’re super comfy and cute and a lovely dark chocolate shade of brown. I also love the small button detail on the sweater sleeve around my wrist. First of all, those details tend to make the sweater sleeves longer, which is fantastic for someone like myself with longer arms. Second, I just think it’s cute. It’s nice to have something to see besides just a monotonous (though lovely) deep navy blue. As for jeans, I adore the selection at dELIA*s. My favorite type of jeans are skinny jeans, and then after that bootcut. Skinny jeans are just so no-nonsense that I have to love them. I can do anything in them—take some dark ones and a nice blouse and they’re perfect for going out, but if I just wear a baggy t-shirt, I’m ready to go do some weeding. I am so happy that jeans have started to be more socially acceptable to wear to nicer events, because I find them to be so comfortable. Plus, it’s pretty easy to get stains out of them (somehow, that always ends up being an important factor for me >< ). But the thing I really like about dELIA*s jeans is that you can go online and order them in just about any size. Now, I’m pretty tall with a larger backside and a small waist, so that makes it super difficult to find pants that actually fit. However, online they have inseams that go up to 36” or 37”, which is GREAT. Nonetheless, I would recommend going into a store to find out your size (make sure to try some on, not just get them to measure you) and then go online to order the length. I think you can even get them to order it at the store for you, if that’s more convenient—but I personally prefer to go online and browse for myself to see all the different styles and colors I could get.
So that’s it! Have a wonderful Thursday (it’s almost Friday!) !!

Today was more of a dress down day for me because my dad and I went to a baseball game together. It was actually the first one I’ve been to since I think fifth grade? Yeah. Long time. It was fun! My team won, and my dad fell asleep watching. ;D I don’t mind baseball, but I like soccer or basketball better because the playing is continuous (i.e. less opportunities for my dad to head off to Dreamland on me! :P ).
Speaking of sports, did anyone else hear about this?
What’s your take on the whole matter? How unethical, if at all, would you say she was acting? Was she really dressed provocatively? Was she “asking” for the guys to make catcalls? Is it wrong of her to enjoy the attention?
The whole situation spurred a debate with my family and a friend of mine this morning that made me oddly feel like I had landed back in my Gender and Communication class.
Top, cardigan, and purse - Target, Jeans - Levi’s, Shoes - CONVERSE! :)

HELLO AGAIN! It’s Tuesday! yay…. just remember, at least it’s not Monday. SO, on this lovely Tuesday, I’m wearing a cute T-shirt and jeans from dELIA*s. I love nerdy little shirts like that XD This one (in case you can’t see it) has 3 elements from the periodic chart on it: Thorium, Indium, and Potassium. Their abbreviations are Th In K. Sooo…. THINK! Teehee. Why is potassium’s abbreviation a K? I’m not quite sure. That means it’s time to revert to my object of worship: the google search engine. Let’s google that shit!!
http://www.chacha.com/question/why-is-potassium-abbreviated-k-and-iron-fe-on-the-periodic-table
My summer sandals are from Nordstrom—they’re Gianni Bini. I ADORE Gianni Bini. I have put those shoes through sooo much, and they’ve managed to hold it together through the whole summer. They’ve gotten soaked multiple times, they’ve been worn through mud and sand, they’ve traveled with me and met the streets of England and France, and just generally been WORN every day this summer. AND YET! They persevere. They’re sooo comfortable (a biggie with me) and I can slip them on in a jiffy if I’m in a hurry. My feet don’t slide around much, so I don’t ever end up with nasty street dirt on the bottoms of my feet instead of the bottoms of my shoes. So if you randomly happen to be looking for a similar pair of sandals, you should definitely check these out. Plus, they’re black so they go with almost anything. Yep! That was my spiel on these shoes. I’m going to give you some advance warning here—it will most likely be the first of many. I love shoes. I adore shoes. If it was legal and not repulsive, I would marry shoes and have little shoe babies. Okay, well, maybe not that far. But you get what I mean. Some people are purse people (don’t get me wrong, I love purses too) but in the end, I’m a shoe person. OMIGOD SHOES. Flashback much? hehehehe.

just in case you needed a reminder of what the flashback was to ;)

I forgot to properly introduce myself! I’m Cori, the sane cousin. ;) Haha, I wish. I was acting particularly ridiculous on Skype the other day, and Allison made some comment about how crazy must be a family gene or something. Probably.
Omg, I can’t believe that I even managed to get dressed and do things out of the house today! I just started cleaning up my room a bit, going through lots of the crap that I packed away before I went to college. And, you know, now that I’m graduated, looking into the possibility of apartments, I have to go back through everything. Damn never unending cycle.
The cleaning was partly also spurred by the TV show, Hoarders (something Allison got me watching). DUDE. That show is FREAKY and more than a little disgusting. You know, and it totally helped that there was a marathon on today :P (good-bye useful plans for the day, hello boob tube).
The bear is something my dad won all the way back for me when I was four! We were at the beach, and he managed to get it as a prize from one of those completely impossible to win games. I gave him away today, so some other kid can further the love. ><
As you can probably tell, I live a bit further north than my lovely cousin (it’s starting to feel like fall here!). Cami - Kohl’s, Boots - Kohl’s, Leggings - Victoria Secrets (the comfiest leggings EVER!), Cardigan - H&M, earrings - Target, Skirt - H&M, bracelet - random farmers’ market.

HI! So this is me, Allison. I’m the OTHER cousin. The slightly less witty, slightly more normal one XD
hehe, just kidding! You’re out of luck if you’re looking for normal. Just move on, because you’re not finding it here. BUT THAT’S OKAY BECAUSE WE’VE GOT RIDICULOUS ON OUR SIDE! That’s right. If you’re looking for ridiculous, or crazy, or tongues sticking out as a legitimate response, you’ve FOUND IT! CONGRATULATIONS!!
BUT ANYWAYS! Yes, so now that you’ve been exposed, you haven’t run away. Pretty impressive. Or maybe you’re just as crazy as we are O.O
So yes! Onto the point of this blog!! Today, I’m wearing this cute shirt/dress from a boutique in Paris (sorry, I don’t know the name so I can’t give credit) and black leggings from Nordstrom, and Steve Madden flats, also from Nordstrom. My glasses are from Costco (classy, I know). As for the necklace, that’s my grandmother’s (she lent it to me! I swear!) and I have no idea where she got it.
I love shiny pictures, so I am super apt to post wayyyy too many of them >< so just SCROOOOOOLL on down to Cori’s posts, which are way more concise and organized.
SOOO I hope you enjoyed this post, or were at least entertained, and I’m looking forward to writing again soon!!
